“U. P. STATE (Under 20 years) ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017”, (U 20 Men & Women) shall be organized in the New-format, by District Athletics Association Lucknow & Allahabad as per following details:  

CHAMPIONSHIPS:        U. P. STATE  (Under 20 years)  ATHLETICS  CHAMPIONSHIPS 2017.

DATE :                         23^rd  & 24^th APRIL 2017 (TUESDAY  &  WEDNESDAY)

VENUE:                        P.A.C. ATHLETICS STADIUM, LUCKNOW – 23^rd  MAY 2017  &

MADAN MOHAN MALVIYA ATHLETICS STADIUM, ALLAHABAD- 24^th MAY 2017.

GROUPS & EVENTS:    The list of Groups and Events are given below:

U 20 MEN & WOMEN (Below 20 years) * Born between 13^th JUNE 1997 to 12^th JUNE 2001.

Boys: 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 1500m., 5000m., 10000m. 110m. Hurdles (99.0 cms.), 400m. Hurdles (91.4 Cms.), 3000m. Steeple Chase (91.4 cms.), High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put (6.00 Kgs.), Discus Throw (1.75 Kgs.), Hammer Throw (6.00 Kgs.), Javelin Throw (800 gms.), 4x100m. Relay &  4x400m. Relay  = Total 20 events.

Girls: 100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 1500m., 3000m., 5000m., 100m. Hurdles (84.0 cms.), 400m. Hurdles (76.2 Cms.), 2,000m. SteepleChase (76.2 cms.), High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put (4.00 Kgs.), Discus Throw (1.00 Kgs.), Hammer Throw (4.00 Kgs.), Javelin Throw (600 gms.), 4x100m. Relay &  4x400m. Relay  = Total 20 events.

TECHNICAL:                 This State Championship will be organised in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of Athletics Federation of India (IAAF * Competition Rules - 2016-2017). In case of any dispute the decision of the UPAA Technical Committee will be final and abiding on all.

PRIZES:                       MERIT CERTIFICATES & MEDALS to each first three winners.

TROPHIES for TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS & BEST ATHLETE in ALL GROUPS.

PARTICIPATION:          Only affiliated Units of UPAA and registered Athletes will be allowed to enter.

ENTRIES:                     The “ENTRY” will be accepted ONLY in the enclosed “Entry-Form”, duly signed by the Secretary of the UNITS. REPEAT: SIGNED by the SECRETARY of the affiliated UNITS Only. The Entry-Form must reach to undersigned latest by 21^st May 2017 (Sunday).

AGE *DATE of BIRTH:  The Athletes who are born between 13^th June 1997 to 12^th June 2001 are only eligible to enter in this State Championships. Following Date of Birth certificates will only be valid for the purpose of Age Verification:

a)     X standard Certificate from recognized Central / State Education Board.

b)    Birth Certificate from Municipality / Corporation and school leaving Certificate.

c)     Birth Certificate from Municipality / Corporation, in case of Athletes, who have not gone to School at all.

FLAGS:                        Please bring or send Two FLAGS of your unit for ceremonial purposes

PLACE OF STAY:         The Teams are requested to make their own arrangements for the Boarding & Lodging in Lucknow & Allahabad during this Championships.

4x100m. Relay and 4x400m.Relay  = Total 11 events.

U 20 WOMEN:   100m., 200m., 400m., 800m., 1500m., 3000m., 5000m.,  Long Jump, Triple Jump,

4x100m. Relay and 4x400m.Relay  = Total 11 events.

3. TRACK & FIELD: 400 mts. Synthetic Track with One ARENA each for FIELD EVENTS at STADIUM.

4. TECHNICAL CONDUCT: In accordance with Rules/Regulations of IAAF * Competition Rules 2016–2017.

5. ENTRIES:

Ø  Each District / Unit Team can enter maximum TWO Athletes in each event except Relay Races where FOUR Athletes may be entered.

Ø  An Athlete can enter in TWO individual events and ONE Relay event. 

Ø  Running Shoes or Athletics Shoes are compulsory for participating in this Athletics Championships.

Ø  The entry will be accepted only in the Entry Form sent earlier. All the columns of the Entry Form must be filled in capital letters.

Ø  The Competition Fees of Rupees One Hundred per athlete will be collected during the distribution of Bib-Numbers.

6. CHAMPIONSHIPS,  PRIZES, DIPLOMAS & AWARDS:

v  INDIVIDUAL:     CERTIFICATE to BEST THREE INDIVIDUAL WINNERS - in each event.

v  BEST Athlete:   BEST ATHLETE on POINT BASIS in EACH GROUP.

v  TEAM:              BEST TEAM - It will be Champion team in all groups separately on Point basis.

v  OVER ALL:       BEST TEAM - Overall Championship on Point Basis in Male & Female groups.

v  PARTICIPATION CERTIFICATE will be issued only to the actual participants.

7. BIB  NUMBERS: The Bib Numbers will be distributed to the Teams who have send their entries within last date of Entry. The Age Verification will be done during the issue of Bib Numbers. The Bib Numbers will be distributed on 23^rd June 2017 (Tuesday) from 05.00 to 07.00 hrs. at P.A.C. Athletics Stadium LUCKNOW.

8. PROGRAMME & SCHEDULE: The Conduct of the events will be held  as per following schedule:

9. The Medals & Certificates distribution will be held immediately after the last event is over at about 15.00 hrs. on 24^th MAY 2017 at Madan Mohan Malviya Athletics Stadium, Allahabad  for the events held in Allahabad.
